Heart Centered YOGA:
Yoga is a 5000-year-old science of healing and self-discovery. The word Yoga means union. I interpret this to be union of the self: body, mind and spirit.
Heart Centered Yoga evolved from my yoga practice as I began teaching others. I believe it developed in me from my experiences as a massage therapist and craniosacral therapist as well as my yoga/meditation practice and lifestyle.
As I have studied the body-mind-spirit connection and walk my own healing path, I have come to believe that the key elements of healing are presented in all of the healing arts and practices. Heart Centered Yoga teaches self love and self acceptance. It teaches us to love and accept our bodies just as they are right now. It helps us to discover our strengths and our weaknesses. It teaches us to find our "edge" so we can encourage growth without suffering and healing without pain.
The true meaning of self-realization may take years to achieve, but yoga will shape your present and create a positive future along the way. It is a facinating journey.
