FAQ
How should I prepare for a wax service?
Be sure to stay relaxed and know that you are in good hands. Think about how wonderful you will feel about your body once the treatment is completed. Keep the area clean and don't use any lotions prior to a service. Your hair should be approximately a quarter of an inch long.
How much will it hurt?
At least your first time you will feel a slight sting, but most clients say it is very tolerable. As you continue for regular services, it will become easier and the discomfort will fade. Taking Ibuprofen 1 hour prior and avoiding caffeine helps reduce the pain.
How often should I get waxed?
It is recommended to wax every 3-6 weeks depending on your hair growth. It is important to not shave in between waxing to get optimal results and benefits.
What should I do after waxing?
Keep the area clean and avoid applying lotions or deodorant for at least 8 hours. Avoid tanning or hot tubs for 24 hours.
What is a Brazilian Wax?
The Brazilian is a bikini wax that basically takes it ALL away. I have always wanted to get a Brazilian but I am nervous... Relax, your in good hands, our esthetician is a professional. You can always try a bikini wax then upgrade to the full Brazilian!
Can I tan before getting waxed?
It is recommended that you wait at least 3 days before waxing after your tan. This way your skin has a chance to heal before the waxing process.
Is it OK to shave between wax appointments?
Waxing slows down and reduces hair growth. Hair also grows much thinner thus making it easier to remove and less painful when waxed. Shaving just one time in between will negate all that is gained from waxing and can further irritate follicles which can cause ingrown hair. So, no, we don't advise shaving in between.
How long will it last?
You should have 2 to 3 weeks of fairly smooth skin. We recommend booking appointments every 4 to 6 weeks.
